Now, regarding your questions...

You said that once fired hulls could benefit from four stage closing, so it might be a little winter project
...
If we want to consider the once fired hulls [I don't use fired hulls since 2009], then we have to consider also the new way of the 4 stage crimpers!!!
First of all, on the four stage procedure, we have the HALF CRIMPER STAGE that is the first stage, and of course if we have to crimp just HALF way the hull [because in the 2 and 3 stages we do full crimp]...we can use a very creap crimper and obtain the same work and the same quality!!!
As example, the lowest possible price of 90€ of the Cortini's professional steel crimper in Greece, performs better of all the other competitive crimpers in the 2 and 3 stages crimping...but performs as all the other competitive crimpers in the 4 stage crimping machines, and that's why I propose using a cheaper crimper to save money for the new hulls and especially for the once fired hulls!!!
Here in Greece, we have a local producer of cheaper crimpers that costs just 10€ and it's made in moulded alluminium, so with that cheap crimper you can use the 4 stage crimping and solve all the problems of the once fired hulls!
Practical example of 3 stage top quality with Greek prices: 90€/Cortini professional crimper + 50€/Cortini professional third stage tool + 75€/Cortini professional top quality I2S roller = 215€
Practical example of 4 stage top quality with Greek prices [new hulls]: 90€/Cortini professional crimper + 40€/Cortini professional second stage conic tool + 50€/Cortini professional third stage tool + 75€/Cortini professional top quality I2S roller = 255€
Practical example of 4 stage top quality with Greek prices [alternative way for new hulls/once fired]: 10€/Greek cheap crimper + 40€/Cortini professional second stage conic tool + 50€/Cortini professional third stage tool + 75€/Cortini professional top quality I2S roller = 175€
Practical example of 4 stage top quality with Greek prices [alternative best way for new hulls/once fired]: 10€/Greek cheap crimper + 35€/Idiogomosi new supermodified second stage conic tool + 45€/Idiogomosi supermodified third stage tool + 75€/Cortini professional top quality I2S roller = 165€

Where do you suggest we buy the tools if we want to try them?
I have the Gaep BN2 without the stripe so it's not top quality... That's disappointing considering the price

...
Well, the fact is that there aren't some online shops in our country and the other problem is that the Italians don't speak English language, so the only way to find something...at least for the moment...is to help you by myself to find the accessories you may want and you may need...or to wait a few days or a couple of weeks...untill Cortini factory puts online the new website and you will be able to find some more infos there and you also wait the new website of our distributor...but none of them will have the shopping cart for the goods...so you will have to call them via phone and speak in Italian or Greek or to write an email in English and wait their reply...
So if you probably need some help...do not hesitate to ask me...and if I already help half of Greek and Half of Italian reloaders...I don't see why I don't have also to help you...
For the end, I kept the disappointing story also for our country reloaders for the poor quality of the last Gaep productions...either in the rolers and either in some other accessories...and it's not a secret tha I bought last spring the new double Gaep dispenser and the dispenser has the same old problems as the dispenser of the 2010 productions that I have had to modify to make it work well...and I was really diasappointed to see that thing happens for a second time...

Perfectionist is just a compliment...but I will try to said insatisfied with the perfection and with the minimun particular mechanical details!
culot skrev:Shotshell reloading is much more common in Italy and Greece, and it is an old tradition. We in Scandinavia have learned reload shotshell "the American way"
and the "Italian way" of reload shotshell is new to us. myself, I had not used
crimpers of model T2 - 3 until a few years ago. Today I have replaced my "American" equipment with Italian equipment to completely make shotgun shells as they do in Italy & Greece.
Well Peter, to say the truth...till the 2010...all in Greek reloaders used the Mec presses and just the minority under the 1~5% used some other stuff more powerfull and more expensive reloading machines...because the last Cortini factory distributor asks 2.100€ for the Cortini BiCombi 2 stage professional press [Gaep with Omv copy that machine in 2010] and so with all that money none of us buy that stuff at all! We also have to consider that the Greek Mec distributor has the Mec 9000 at 1.200€...when i bough it from the Italian Siarm company in 2010 for about 700€ with the accessories...etc...
Then after the summer of 2010 when I start helping the people to speak with Gaep and buy their stuff at half price [as the Greek prices]...then all of the reloaders start buying directly from Italy and after when the Gaep's [Omv was the producer and Gaep was the seller at that time] quality goes down...then I tried to establish cooperation with Cortini factory...but only when the factory changes boss and pass to Daniele hands, otherwise I will not start cooperationg with them...this is not a secret and this is a thing that all the Greek reloaders know...because when in 2010 and 2011 I asked Cortini to did the I2S and the I0S modified rollers...they said NO to me and they also said NO to me the majority of the Italian reloaders and say me that I was WRONG!!!
Now after a year that all the Greek reloaders uses the I2S and I0S rollers and they are super satisfied...the Italian reloaders start wanting the same rollers and the 4 stage Cortini presses that was one of my best projects...so at the end of the story...all of them say me no and gave me wrong and now I have the satisfaction to see all of them to ask to buy my 1, 2 and 3 years old prototype projects...till the most recently creations!
