Sig P220
I found this lonely little Sig P220 in 45ACP the other day and had to adopt it. Has the original box, three factory mags and two aftermarket mags. I shot it at a steel gong out in my yard and it smacks it with authority. Here is a picture.

Re: Sig P220
I'm not very fond of the P220 in 45acp. It produces much more recoil that, say, a 1911 in the same caliber. My own idea is that the high barrel/slide produces much more leverage on the frame and that's also the reason for the SIGs being known as somewhat brittle.

Re: Sig P220
I have since purchased a Kimber and a Colt Combat Commander. I like the safety of the Sig, but the Colt is the most accurate, of course I have had it dinked with, ramp polished, slide tightened, etc. Was planning on shooting a bunch of handguns this week, but it is hotter than a Swedish elks butt, when the landowner is letting everone hunt for free! Oh well maybe it will cool down next week.
Here is a picture of my Kimber

That's nice!
Kimber is a wierd company though. I heard that the swedish importer had to order a minimum of 50 rifles at a time, pay in advance and gets no delivery date for the merchandise. They ship when they feel like and it can take up to a year or even two(!) before they care to deliver. Kimber pistols are not imported to Sweden anymore. We had them for a couple of years but then they disapeared. You can get them from Germany but I know of several dealers that have dropped them because of their strange and unreliable methods.

Re: Sig P220
Kimber rifles are neat little outfits, however getting one that will shoot accurately has been a problem. Some shoot, some do not.
