Mvh

Takk for tipset.

<BLOCKQUOTE id=quote><font size=1 face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica" id=quote>sitat:<hr height=1 noshade id=quote>Tom,
The reduced loads that I use in the .30 HLS Cheapskate are
2.0grs.Green Dot,large pistol primer with a .315 dia.round ball lubed with Crisco or tallow and 4.0grs Green Dot,magnum large rifle primer with a 110gr. jacketed bullet. The round ball load will shoot 1/2" or less
at 35'for a 5 shot group.The 110gr. jacketed bullet loads
have grouped under 1/8" at the same distance.Green Dot is my
choice for this type of load as it is not sensitive to
position in the case,no filler is required, and it is very clean burning.
The .30 HLS Cheapskate is about 2.0grs larger than the 7.62X39 so those loads should be ok for a 7.62X39 IMP.
Clymer's Reamers will make the reamers, and CH4D will make the dies. The reamer and dies may cost between 200-250
dollars,not sure.
The .30 HLS Cheapskate May be a viable option in your rifle,a rimless version can be made from the .35 Remington case.If the .35 Remington case fits your bolt head, the wildcat can be cut with a 30-06 chamber reamer.Dies can be made by grinding the base of the 30-06 dies. The case capacity of the .30 HLS Cheapskate is 34+grs. of water, which is about 2grs larger than the 7.62X39 and a grain or so smaller than the .30 Herrett, which is considered
adequate for whitetail deer, when used in the contender pistol.
Rimmed cases for the .30 HLS Cheapskate can be made from the .303 British or the .445 SuperMag.
A plus for the Cheapskate series is that they can be made from take off barrels by shortening the chamber end and fitting to the action.New take off barrels can often be
purchased for around 50 dollars.Standard reamers can be rented cheaply and standard dies are cheap as compared to
custom made.
The Cheapskate series can be made in any caliber that the standard 30-06 parent case. This list would would include the 22-06,6mm-06,6.5-06,270 Win.280 Rem.30-06,8mm-06
338-06,35 Whelen,375 Whelen, or the .400 Whelen.

AKI
